Leave it · last updated 9 August 2026
Leave it helps the people involved in a property transaction agree on which items stay with the property. This policy explains what the app collects, why, and how long it is kept.
Photographs you take. When you snap an item, the picture is uploaded to our storage and shared with the other people invited to that same property. These are pictures of interiors and belongings, so treat them with care and avoid capturing documents, screens, or people.
Property addresses. The address typed when creating a property, and its closing date.
Item labels and notes. Any text added to a card.
Decisions. Whether each item was marked "Leave it!" or "I'm OK", and when that choice was made.
An anonymous identifier. The app creates a random identifier for your installation so your properties stay attached to your device. We ask for no email address, name, phone number or password.
A push notification token, if you allow notifications, so we can tell you when a picture is posted or a decision is made.
Subscription status, if you subscribe. Payment is handled entirely by Apple or Google. We never see or store your card details.
We collect no name, email address, phone number or postal address. We run no advertising, no analytics profiling, and no third party trackers. We never sell personal information, and we never share your data for advertising.
Solely to run the service: showing invited people the items for their property, recording decisions, notifying you of activity, and knowing whether a subscription is active. Nothing else.
Only people holding an invite code for that specific property. Access is enforced at the database level: without a membership in a property, a request returns nothing.
Our infrastructure provider, Supabase, stores the data on our behalf. Push notifications are delivered through Expo. Subscription status is managed through RevenueCat. Payments are processed by Apple and Google under their own privacy policies.
On Supabase servers. Photographs are held in a private bucket and served only through short lived signed links.
Data lives as long as the property exists. A property has a closing date, after which its contents become read only and are deleted sixty days later. When a property is deleted, its photographs, items and decisions are removed immediately and permanently.
Delete your account from Settings inside the app. This erases the properties you created, the photographs under them, every property you were invited to, and the anonymous identity itself. It happens straight away and cannot be undone.
Delete a property in the app to remove its photographs, items and decisions.
Decline notifications at the system prompt or in your device settings. The app still works.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export or erase your personal information, and to complain to a data protection regulator. Because accounts are anonymous, we may be unable to identify your data from an email alone, so the in app deletion above is the reliable route.
Leave it is meant for adults handling property transactions and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Data travels over encrypted connections and is stored with access rules that restrict each property to its invited members. Photographs are reachable only through expiring signed links. No system is perfectly secure, so please avoid photographing anything you would not want an invited counterparty to see.
Because there is no login, your workspace is tied to your app installation. If you subscribe, your subscription and the properties you created can be recovered on a new device by restoring your purchase. Invited participants can rejoin at any time with their invite code.
If this policy changes materially we will update the date above and note the change in the app.
